Description
For sample adults and sample children aged 2-17 in 1999 and all persons in other surveyed years, DEN2WNO records the number of times she/he went to the dentist in the past 2 weeks.

Related Variables
Persons who reported visiting the dentist during the past 2 weeks were asked a number of follow-up questions on the types of dentists seen, the types of procedures received, and the travel time to dentist.
For persons who visited a dentist in the past two weeks, additional information is available on the number of visits to specific types of dentists and for specific procedures:

- DENSPECVNO: records the number of visits in the past two weeks to a dental specialist. See the variable description for information on follow-up questions on the type of specialist seen.
- DENUNKVNO: records the number of visits in the past to an unknown type of dentist.
- DENTPROCNO: records the number of different types of dental procedures received in the past two weeks for gum treatment.
- DENTBRIDGE: records the number of visits in the past two weeks for work done on a bridge.
- DENTCLEN: records the number of visits in the past two weeks to have teeth cleaned.
- DENTCDENT: records the number of visits in the past two weeks for work done on complete dentures.
