Description

For persons aged 2 and older in 1983 and sample persons age 18 and older who have seen or talked to a dentist in the past 12 months in 1999, DENVISYR reports the number of visits that a person made to a dentist in the past 12 months.

Comparability

Changes in the universe may affect the comparability of this variable over time. As always, data users should use the prescribed IPUMS NHIS weights.
