Description
For all sample children, GROWDEV indicates whether the sample child ever had a delay in growth or development.
The Field Representative's Manual states that these terms are respondent defined.
Affirmative responses to GROWDEV received further questions included in the survey.
These include:
- Age when first noticed growth delay: Time period (GROWDAGETP)
- Age when first noticed growth delay: Number of units (GROWDAGENO)
- Ever received treatment for growth delay (GROWDTRETEV)
- Received treatment for growth delay, past 12 months (GROWDTRETYR)
- Times anyone saw doctor or counselor for growth delay, past 12 months (GROWDTRETYRX)
- Missed school due to growth delay, past 12 months (GROWDMISSYR)
- Number school days missed due to growth delay, past 12 months (GROWDMISSYRX)
- Attended special classes due to growth delay, past 12 months (GROWDCLASSYR)
- Took medicine for growth delay, past 12 months (GROWDMEDYR)
