For sample persons under age 18 who used skin ointments other than topical steroids in the past 2 weeks (MOINT2W), MOINT2WDREC reports if a doctor recommended the person take or use the medication. Those who answered "yes " to MOINT2WRX have been recoded to 3 "Doctor prescribed" in MOINT2WDREC. MOINT2WDREC is part of the "Medicine Use" section of the 1981 Child Health Supplement.
