Description

For sample children under 7 years old who have an immunization record and who have had other immunization shots included in the record that were not mentioned in the survey, IMRTET reports if the other immunization shot was the Tetramune vaccine.

Immunization shots that were asked during the interview include chickenpox (IMRCPOXNO), diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (IMRDTP), hepatitis B (IMRHEPB), HIB vaccine (IMRHIB), measles or Measles-Mumps-Rubella (IMRMMR), pneumococcal (IMRPNU), polio vaccine (IMRPOL), rotavirus (IMRROTNO), tetanus-and diphtheria booster (IMRTDBNO).

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1997: Sample children under age 7 and all children 19 to 35 months old in quarters 1 and 2 and 12 to 35 months old in quarters 3 and 4, who have had other shots on record.
  • 1998-2002: Sample children under age 7 and all children 12 to 35 months old, who have had other shots on record.
  • 2003: Sample children under age 7 who have had other shots on record.
