Description

For sample children under 18 years old who have an immunization record and who have at least four other shots on the record that were not mentioned in the survey, IMROTHY4 reports the year of the person's fourth other shot.

Immunization shots that were mentioned in the survey include: (IMRCPOXNO), diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (IMRDTP), hepatitis B (IMRHEPB), HIB vaccine (IMRHIB), measles or Measles-Mumps-Rubella (IMRMMR), pneumococcal (IMRPNU), polio vaccine (IMRPOL), rotavirus (IMRROTNO), tetanus-and diphtheria booster (IMRTDBNO).

Users should combine IMROTHY4 with IMROTHMO4, which reports the month of the person's fourth other shot, in order to get the complete date of the person's fourth other shot.

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1997: Sample children under 19, and all children 19 to 35 months old in quarters 1 and 2 and 12 to 35 months old in quarters 3 and 4, with available shot records and with four or more other shot records on record.
  • 1998-2002: Sample children under 19, and all children 12 to 35 months old, with available shot records and with four or more other shot records on record.
  • 2003: Sample children under 19, with available shot records and with four or more other shot records on record.
