For sample persons 3 or older who had a voice (VSLVYR), swallowing (VSLSWYR), speech (VSLSPYR), or language (VSLLGYR) problem in the past 12 months, VSLHEADINJ indicates if the sample person’s voice, swallowing, speech, or language problems or difficulty were due to head or brain injury or stroke.
