Description
For sample adults who had two or more significant non-repetitive strain injuries or don't know or refused to report how many injuries they had in the past 3 months (INJSIGNUM) or who had one or more significant non-repetitive strain injuries in the past 3 months but did not report an injury occurring at home (INJSIGHOME), INJSIGWORK reports whether the injury happened at working at a job or business.
INJSIGWORK is part of the rotating core NHIS questions on sudden injury. For other core sudden injury and injury-related variables, please see INJANY.
Universe
- 2020-2021; 2023-2024: Sample adults age 18+ with a significant sudden injury in the past 3 months or who don't know or refused to say if they did (INJSIGNFCNT) OR who had 1 significant, sudden injury in the past 3 months (INJSIGNUM) but did not report an injury at home (INJSIGHOME).
