Description
For all persons, HMOYN reports if the person belongs to a health maintenance organization (HMO) other than the HMO or prepaid group practice plans (PGPP) reported in HMOPGPP.
Respondents who could not name an HMO or PGPP were excluded from HMOPGPP; all respondents were asked if anybody in the family is covered by a health insurance plan. Persons who are covered by HMOs named in the follow up question are identified in this variable.
This variable is part of the NHIS supplement on HMO coverage.
