Description

For sample children under 18 years old who have an immunization record and who have at least six other shots on the record that were not mentioned in the survey, IMROTHMO6 reports the month of the person's sixth other shot.

Immunization shots that were mentioned in the survey include: (IMRCPOXNO), diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (IMRDTP), hepatitis B (IMRHEPB), HIB vaccine (IMRHIB), measles or Measles-Mumps-Rubella (IMRMMR), pneumococcal (IMRPNU), polio vaccine (IMRPOL), rotavirus (IMRROTNO), tetanus-and diphtheria booster (IMRTDBNO).

Users should combine IMROTHMO6 with IMROTHY6, which reports the year of the person's sixth other shot, in order to get the complete date of the person's sixth other shot.

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1997: Sample children under 18, and all children 19 to 35 months old in quarters 1 and 2 and 12 to 35 months old in quarters 3 and 4, with available shot records, and with six other shots on record.
  • 1998-2002: Sample children under 18, and all children 12 to 35 months old, with available shot records, and with six other shots on record.
  • 2003: Sample children under 18, with available shot records, and with six other shots on record.
