Description
For sample adults age 18 years and over HEARDCINFO indicates if the sample person has ever heard of the Cancer Information Service.
The field representative's manual defines the Cancer Information Service, The American Cancer Society, the 1-800-4-CANCER hotline, and the National Cancer Institute as, "Private and public agencies concerned with cancer research, treatment, prevention, and/or information dissemination".

- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement).
