Description
CANORGACS indicates if the sample person contacted the American Cancer Society after their diagnosis. This inquiry was directed at sample persons age 18 years and over who were ever diagnosed with one kind of cancer (CANCEREV, CANCERNO) and were diagnosed in the past 10 years (CAN1DIAGDY, CAN1DIAGE) or who were diagnosed with more than one kind of cancer (CANCERNO) whose most recent cancer was diagnosed in the past 10 years (CANRECDIAGDY, CANRECDIAGE) and who contacted cancer organizations after their diagnosis (CANORG).

Universe
- 1992: Sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2 and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 who were ever diagnosed with one kind of cancer and were diagnosed in the past 10 years OR who were diagnosed with more than one kind of cancer and most recent cancer was diagnosed in the past 10 years AND who contacted cancer organizations after diagnosis.
