Description
For sample adults who ever had a skin cancer examination (SKNCANX), SKNXM13YR reports the recoded grouped number of years since the respondent's last skin exam by a dermatologist or other physician.

SKNMG13YR is a recoded variable based on responses from other variables.

Researchers are advised to use SKNXMG13YR instead of SKNXM13Y because while the former variable recodes responses from all of the other time format questions, the later variable is only asked of respondents who did not know the month and year of their last skin cancer exam or had their exam in 1989.
