Description
For sample adults aged 40 years and older who ever had a sigmoidoscopy (SIGEV) and who chose to respond in time period format, SIGLNO reports the number of time units since the respondent had their sigmoidoscopy (e.g., the number of months since the most recent test). This variable should be used with SIGLTP, which reports the corresponding type of time period (in days, weeks, months, or years) for these units.
The survey form directs interviewers to, "Enter number for time since last sigmoidoscopy," and "Enter '95' for 95 or more."
