For sample persons under age 18 who used topical steroids in past the 2 weeks (MSTER2W), MSTER2WRX reports if the person got a prescription from a doctor for them to take or use the medication. MSTER2WRX is part of the "Medicine Use" section of the 1981 Child Health Supplement.

- Whether a doctor recommended the use of a topical steroid (MSTER2WDREC), and
- How often the respondent used the topical steroid in the past 3 months (MSTER2WFREQ)
