Description

For sample children under 6 years old (in 1992-1996) and sample children under 18 years old (1997-2003) who have an immunization record and who have at least three Measles - Mumps - Rubella (MMR) shots on their record, IMRMMRY3 reports the year when the person received his or her third MMR shot.

Users should combine IMRMMRY3 with IMRMMRDA3 and IMRMMRMO3, which reports the day and month of the person's third MMR shot, in order to get the complete date when the person received his or her third MMR shot.

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1991-1993: Sample persons under age 6, with any information transcribed from a shot record and with at least three measles/MMR shots indicated on record.
  • 1994-1996: Sample persons under age 6, and all children 19 to 35 months old, with any information transcribed from a shot record and with at least three measles/MMR shots indicated on record.
  • 1997: Sample children under age 18, and all children 19 to 35 months old in quarters 1 and 2 and 12 to 35 months in quarters 3 and 4, with available shot records and with three or more measles/MMR shots on record.
  • 1998-2002: Sample children under age 18, and all children 12 to 35 months old, with available shot records and with at least three measles/MMR shots indicated on record.
  • 2003: Sample children under age 18 with available shot records and with at least three measle/MMR shots indicated on record.
