Description

For sample children under 6 years old (in 1992-1996) and sample children under 18 years old (1997-2003) who have an immunization record and who have at least three Measles - Mumps - Rubella (MMR) shots on their record, IMRMMRMO3 reports the month when the person received his or her third MMR shot.

Users should combine IMRMMRMO3 with IMRMMRDA3 and IMRMMRY3, which reports the day and year of the person's third MMR shot, in order to get the complete date when the person received his or her third MMR shot.

Users are strongly encouraged to visit the Universe tab for more information on changes in the universe across surveyed years.

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1991-1993: Sample persons under age 6, with any information transcribed from a shot record and with at least three measles/MMR shots indicated on record.
  • 1994-1996: Sample persons under age 6, and all children 19 to 35 months old, with any information transcribed from a shot record and with at least three measles/MMR shots indicated on record.
  • 1997: Sample children under 18, and all children 19 to 35 months old in quarters 1 and 2 and 12 to 35 months old in quarters 3 and 4, with available shot record and at with at least 3 measles/MMR shots indicated on record.
  • 1998-2002: Sample children under 18, and all children 12 to 35 months old, with available shot record and at least 3 measles/MMR shots indicated on record.
  • 2003: Sample children under 18, with available shot record and at least 3 measles/MMR shots indicated on record.
