Description
For all persons covered by a health insurance plan other than one reported in HMOPGPP, HIPLAN1 reports if the person is the policyholder or subscriber for the first listed plan.
This variable is part of the NHIS supplement on HMO coverage.
Universe
- 1975: All persons who are covered by an insurance plan other than a known HMO or PGPP.
