Description

For sample adults who had participated in football in the past 2 weeks (EXFOOTBALL), EXFOOTBALLNO reports the number of times the respondent had participated in football over those 2 weeks.

After the interviewer determined that a respondent participated in football, respondents were asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you play football?"

Related Variables 

Respondents were also asked how many minutes on average they had spent playing football each time during the past 2 weeks (EXFOOTBALMIN) and how much their heart rate or breathing had increased while playing football (EXFOOTBALLBR).

  • 1985; 1990: Sample persons aged 18-64 who played football in the past 2 weeks.
  • 1991; 1998: Sample adults age 18+ who played football in the past 2 weeks.
  • 1995: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from AIDS supplement) who played football in the past 2 weeks.
