Description

For sample adults who had participated in football in the past 2 weeks (EXFOOTBALL), EXFOOTBALLBR reports whether respondents usually experienced a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in their heart rate or breathing while playing football.

After determining that a respondent participated in football, respondents were first asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you play football?" (EXFOOTBALLNO). They were then asked, "On the average, about how many minutes did you spend playing football each time?" (EXFOOTBALMIN). Finally, to obtain information for EXFOOTBALLBR, respondents were asked, "What usually happened to your heart rate or breathing when you played football? Did you have a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in your heart rate or breathing?"
