Description

For sample adults who had a balance or dizziness problem in the past 12 months (BALDIZYR), or who had at least one symptom of a balance or dizziness problem in the past 12 months (BALSYMPTNO), BALSBOTHERNO reports the time period for how often they experienced the most bothersome balance symptom they reported in BALSBOTHER, in the last 12 months.

Users should combine BALSBOTHERTP with BALSBOTHERNO which reports number of time units for the time period in BALSBOTHERTP, to get complete information on the amount of time the person experiences the balance symptom.

The question for this variable was part of the Sample Adult Balance Supplement, sponsored by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
