Description

For sample adults who had a balance or dizziness problem in the past 12 months (BALDIZYR), or who had at least one symptom of a balance or dizziness problem in the past 12 months (BALSYMPTNO), and who ever saw a doctor or other health professional (including in the ER) about a dizziness or balance problem (BALGOHOSPEV and BALSAWHPEV), BALHPHELPHOW indicates how much the person felt doctors or other health professionals helped them with their dizziness or balance problems.

This variable was part of the Sample Adult Balance Supplement, sponsored by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
