Description

AIDRISKMEAN reports the sample person's meaning of "high", "medium", and "low" risk in a zero to hundred number format. In 1989, this inquiry was directed at sample persons age 18 whose chances of having the AIDS virus are NOT high (AIDCHANCENOW) and whose chances of getting the AIDS virus are high, medium, or low (AIDCHANCE), in 1988 this questions was asked of the same group only in quarters 2 through 4 (AIDCHANCENOW, AIDCHANCE).

Universe

  • 1988: Sample persons age 18+ in quarters 2 through 4 whose chances of having the AIDS virus are NOT high and whose chances of getting the AIDS virus are high, medium, or low.
  • 1989: Sample persons age 18+ whose chances of having the AIDS virus are NOT high and whose chances of getting the AIDS virus are high, medium, or low.
