Description

For sample adults with a Medicare Advantage plan (MCADVNTG) or a Medicare managed care arrangement (MCHMO), PAYVIS indicates whether the Medicare Advantage Plan pays for any of their vision care costs, such as glasses and contact lenses.

This variable, along with PAYDENT was fielded starting in 2022. For more information on the Medicare Advantage plan, please see MCADVNTG.
