Description
For sample adults who were told the cause of their dizziness or balance problem (BALHPDIAG), BALCMS indicates whether neurological-multiple sclerosis (MS) or seizures was a cause.
This variable was part of the Sample Adult Balance Supplement, sponsored by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
Universe
- 2016: Sample adults 18+ who had a balance or dizziness problem in the past 12 months and have had a balance or dizziness problem in the past 12 months or who had at least one symptom in the past 12 months AND who were told a reason for their dizziness or balance problem by a doctor or other health professional (including ER).
