Description
For sample children ages 5-17 BPSOMTRUSUM represents, in grouped response intervals, the number of items from the 32-item Behavioral Problem Index that were reported as "sometimes true" of the sample child. Please see the Code tab for information on interval groupings.
This variable is from the child health supplement. This supplement includes a 32-item Behavioral Problem Index. These questions are used to generate individual behavioral problem indexes and an overall behavioral problem index. For more information, please see BPANTSY or use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
