Description
Respondents reported whether their level of pain, the last time they had pain, was "closer to a little, closer to a lot, or exactly in the middle". This question was only asked of respondents who reported that their level of pain, the last time they had pain, was "somewhere between a little and a lot" (PAINFEELEVL) and who had pain at least some days in the past 3 months (PAINFREQ3MO).
In 2010, this item was collected for sample adults who completed the Quality of Life supplement (administered to approximately a quarter of sample adults). In 2011, this item was collected for sample adults who completed the Adult Functioning and Disability supplement (administered to a subset of sample adults).
Universe
- 2010: One quarter of sample adults, included in quality of life supplement (and excluded from family disability supplement), who have frequent pain (or for whom this was unknown) or who have had pain some days, most days, every day, or an unknown amount in the past 3 months, and the last time they had pain it was somewhere between a little and a lot.
- 2011: Sample adults 18+ who said their most recent pain was somewhere between a little and a lot.
