Description

For sample children under 6 years old (in 1992-1996) and sample children under 18 years old (1997-2003) who have an immunization record and who have at least one Measles - Mumps - Rubella (MMR) shot on their record, IMRMMRDA1 reports the day when the person received his or her first MMR shot.

Users should combine IMRMMRDA1 with IMRMMRMO1 and IMRMMRY1, which reports the month and year of the person's first MMR shot, in order to get the complete date when the person received his or her first MMR shot.

Users are strongly encouraged to visit the Universe tab for more information on changes in the universe across surveyed years.

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1991-1993: Sample persons under age 6, with any information transcribed from a shot record and at least one measles/MMR shot indicated on record.
  • 1994-1996: Sample persons under age 6, and all children 19 to 35 months old, with any information transcribed from a shot record and at least one measles/MMR shot indicated on record.
