For sample persons age 20 and older in the second half of 1975, EXTRAKPAR indicates whether the person had participated in Track and field in the past 12 months.

Track and field was one of 15 sports (including one residual "other" category) that respondents were asked about in the 1975 NHIS. Those who responded "Yes" to EXTRAKPAR were asked whether they had participated in track and field as part of a team (EXTRAKTEM) and whether they had participated in track and field tournaments either as an individual or as a member of a team (EXTRAKTOR) during the past 12 months.

Comparability

There are no comparability problems for EXTRAKPAR.
