Description

For sample persons age 20 and older in the second half of 1975 who had participated in track and field in the past 12 months (EXTRAKPAR), EXTRAKTOR indicates whether the person had taken participated in track and field tournaments either as an individual or as a member of a team during the past 12 months.

Track and field was one of 15 sports (including one residual "other" category) that respondents were asked about in the 1975 NHIS. In addition to being asked if they had participated in track and field tournaments, those who indicated that they had participated in track and field (EXTRAKPAR) were asked whether they had participated in track and field as a member of an organized team in the past 12 months (EXTRAKTEM).

Comparability

There are no comparability problems for EXTRAKTOR.
