Description
For sample respondents age 18 and over who have worked in the past 2 weeks for a private company or the federal, state, or local government, worked mainly indoors and have had someone smoke in their immediate work area in the past 2 weeks,
SMOKWKBOTHER indicates if the respondent was ever bothered by cigarette smoke in their immediate work area.
The term "immediate work area" was respondent defined as is the term "bother."
The question for SMOKWKBOTHER is follow up to SMOKWORKAREA , if anyone smoked in the respondent's immediate work area in the past two weeks.
Universe
- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who have a job with a private company or the federal, state or local government, who were employed during the past two weeks, who have a regular indoor work area (or for whom the type of work area was unknown), and who have had someone smoke in their immediate work area in the past 2 weeks (or for whom it was unknown if someone had smoked in their work area in the past 2 weeks).
