Description
For sample persons ages 18 and over who reported having their blood tested for the AIDS virus infection, ATPAUTO reports if the respondent has ever had a test through a program that requires a blood sample and includes automatic AIDS testing, such as for the military or immigration. Respondents who reported having donated blood after 1985 were not included in this sample unless they specifically reported having had an AIDS test.
Universe
- 1988: Sample persons age 18+ in quarter 3 (5th week) and quarter 4 who have heard of blood test for AIDS virus infection and have had blood tested.
- 1989: Sample persons age 18+ who have ever heard of a blood test for the AIDS virus infection and have had blood tested for the AIDS virus infection.
