Description

BLOODGAVEV indicates if the sample person ever gave or sold blood.

In 1978, this inquiry was directed at sample persons age 17 to 64. In 1988, this inquiry was directed at sample persons age 18 years and older in quarters 2, 3, and 4. In 1989-1991, this inquiry was directed at sample persons age 18 years and older. In 1992, this inquiry was directed at sample persons age 18 years and older. In 1993, this inquiry was directed at half of sample persons age 18 years and older in quarters 3 and 4 who were excluded from the Y2K supplement. In 1994-1995, this inquiry was directed at half of sample persons age 18 years and older who were excluded from the Y2K supplement.
