Description
For sample adults whose diabetes was diagnosed within the last 12 months (DIAGNOSYR), DIAGNOSYRMO reports responses to the question, "When was it diagnosed?" Responses were grouped into 3-month intervals: 1) 3 months ago or less, 2) More than 3 months ago but not more than 6 months ago, 3) More than 6 months ago but not more than 9 months ago, or 4) More than 9 months ago but not more than 12 months ago.
Other diabetes-related questions were periodically included in the survey; see DIABETICEV (Ever told had diabetes) for a summary of these variables currently in the IPUMS NHIS.
