Description
For sample persons aged 18 and older, PHSSTUDYN indicates whether the respondent would participate in a Public Health Service study of AIDS, proposed by the Surgeon General, if he or she was selected in a national sample of people to have their blood tested with assurances of privacy of test results.

- 1987: Sample persons age 18+ in quarter 3 (5th week) and quarter 4.
- 1988: Sample persons age 18+ in quarters 2 through 4.
- 1989: Sample persons age 18+.
