For sample persons age 20 and older in the second half of 1975, EXFOOTBPAR indicates whether the person had participated in football in the past 12 months.
Football was one of 15 sports (including one residual "other" category) that respondents were asked about in the 1975 NHIS. Those who responded "Yes" to EXFOOTBPAR were asked whether they had participated in football as part of a team (EXFOOTBTEM) and whether they had participated in football tournaments either as an individual or as a member of a team (EXFOOTBTOR) during the past 12 months.
