Description

For sample persons age 18 and over, CANMOSELSE reports if the person thought that "something else" other than the related variables listed below increased one's risk of oral cancer. Persons were told that oral cancer was, "lip, mouth, tongue, or throat" cancer and were asked to report yes, no, or if they did not know, as regards to increased cancer risk.

Related variables: persons were asked if the following reasons increased one's risk of cancer:

• CANMOSUN, excess sunlight

• CANMOALC, drinking alcohol

• CANMOCOFFEE, excessive drinking coffee

• CANMOSMOKE, smoking cigarettes, cigars, or a pipe

• CANMOCHEW, the use of chewing tobacco or snuff
