Description
For sample persons age 18 and over, CANMOCOFFEE reports if the person thought that excessive coffee drinking increased one's risk of oral cancer. Persons were told that oral cancer was, "lip, mouth, tongue, or throat" cancer and were asked to report yes, no, or if they did not know, as regards increased cancer risk.
Related variables: persons were also asked if the following reasons increased one's risk of cancer:
- CANMOSUN, excess sunlight
- CANMOALC, drinking alcohol
- CANMOSMOKE, smoking cigarettes, cigars, or a pipe
- CANMOCHEW, using chewing tobacco or snuff
- CANMOSELSE, something else

Universe
- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement).
