For sample adults, YALTMEDYR indicates if the respondent, concerning the use of prescription medication, used alternative therapies to save money in the past 12 months.
This variable can be used to monitor the effects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
In order to save money, other behaviors mentioned are:
- Skipped medication doses
