For sample persons age 18 and older who have smoked at least 100 cigarettes and who smoke now or quit smoking in the past 5 years, TRYQPROG5Y indicates if the person attended a formal program such as SmokEnders, the American Cancer Society program or American Lung Association program as a method to try to stop smoking in the past 5 years.
