For people in families with at least one working cellular telephone, interviewers asked, "How many working cellular telephones do people in your family have?" TELCELNO does not provide any information about which family member(s) has (or have) a working cellular telephone.
Researchers may want to use TELCELNO in conjunction with the following variables:
- Member of a family with a working cellular telephone (TELCEL)
- Family has 1+ currently working, non-cell phones inside home (TELNONCEL)
