For persons covered by private insurance, SURGUNKN reports the person had some type of health insurance plan for surgical care (surgeons' bills for operations), but could not provide the name to the interviewer.

Insurance included all types of plans, including plans which paid extra cash in the event of hospitalization, but excluding plans which paid only for accidents.
