Description

For sample adults aged 40 years and older who ever had a sigmoidoscopy (SIGEV), SIGLDMO reports the calendar month of the respondent's most recent sigmoidoscopy. SIGLDYR, which reports the year of most recent sigmoidoscopy, accompanies this variable.

The survey form directs interviewers to, "Enter month of last exam," and "Enter '96' to go to number and time period format."
