Description

For sample adults ages 18 and older who did anything to reduce the radon level in their homes (RADDONE), RADACTPLAN reports if the respondent, or anyone else, plans to do something to reduce the level of radon exposure in the home.

Comparability

Changes in the universe affect frequencies for RADACTPLAN. In 1990 this question was asked of sample adults whose household was tested for radon and who did not do anything to reduce the radon level. In 1991, the question is instead asked of those sample adults whose tested radon level results were above the EPA guidelines of 4 picocuries per liter or whose tested radon level results were unknown. Additionally, in 1991, the response category "I did not think it was needed" was added. Researchers should use caution when making comparisons across samples.
