Description

For male sample adults aged 40 years and older who ever had a PSA test (PSAEV), PSALGYRR2 is a recoded variable that reports the number of years since the respondent's most recent PSA test in grouped years.

The survey layout file noted that, "This is a time category recode for the time since the most recent PSA test. All available information was used and the recoded variable was pre-filled with the response to the time category question first, if available. These data are provided by the respondent and are not imputed." This variable is coded using the method of the 2005 survey.

Another variable, PSALGYRR1 is similar, but recoded using the same method as used in the 2000 survey.
