Description
For female sample persons aged 18 and over who have had a Pap smear/Pap test, PAPLGYRR1 is a recoded variable reporting the time since the respondent's most recent Pap smear in grouped years using the 2000 method.
The 2018 Sample Adult survey layout file noted that, "This is a time category recode for the time since the most recent pap test. This variable uses the same information collected in 2000 and 2003, and the same estimation method used in 2000."
Another variable, PAPLGYRR2 is similar, but recoded using the same method as used in the 2005 time category recoding method.
