Description

For sample adults aged 18 and older, NBHDCLKT reports the degree to which they agree with the statement about their present neighborhood, "This is a close-knit neighborhood." This variable was included as a core item in the Adult Supplemental Items (ASI) section of the Sample Adult questionnaire, introduced in 2013.

Related Variables
Four other variables included in the ASI section also report information on neighborhood: NBHDTIME (length of time living in present neighborhood), NBHDCTON (people you can count on in this neighborhood), NBHDTRUST (people in this neighborhood can be trusted), and NBHDHELP (people in this neighborhood help each other out).
