Description

For all persons for whom the respondent can name a health maintenance organization (HMO) or prepaid group practice plan (PGPP) and who belong to an HMO or PGPP, MDNONHMO reports if the person ever sees a doctor who is not a part of this plan.

This variable is part of the NHIS supplement on HMO coverage.

There are no comparability issues with this variable.
