Description

For all persons who belong to an HMO or PGPP, ever see a doctor who is not a part of this plan, and gave three reasons for seeing an outside doctor, MDNHMORSN3 reports the third reason why the person sometimes sees other doctors.

This variable is part of the NHIS supplement on HMO coverage.

  • 1975: All persons for whom the respondent can name an HMO or PGPP and belong to an HMO or PGPP and ever see a doctor outside of the plan and gave three reasons for seeing an outside doctor.
