For sample adults, MARGYR is a recoded variable that reports how many times per year the respondent margarine. This includes margarine on bread, rolls, or on vegetables. Respondents were asked separately about butter consumption. This recoded variable is based on the responses to MARGNO, which reports the frequency with which the respondent margarine, and MARGTP, which reports the corresponding time unit.
